Giant Panda
The Giant Panda is one of the most loved and charismatic
animals in the world, and also one of the most endangered.
The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) estimates that there are as
few as 1,600 pandas left in the wild today occupying about
14,000 square miles of mountainous habitat in south-
western China. China is one of the most populous countries
in the world, and the Panda faces habitat erosion, and
poaching as its greatest threats.
