Gorilla
The Gorilla is the largest of the great apes, and the most
endangered. The Gorillas face increased habitat loss,
poaching for bushmeat, and the spread of dangerous diseases.
The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) estimates that there are 700
individuals left in Central and East Africa. Although critically
endangered, there population is beginning to slowly increase
thanks to conservation initiatives.
